1.4 – Sun Lions

As the family cleans up their house, Inuit discovers four small mechanical cats. They are among Erik's working inventions. The orphans take a liking to the miniature robots quickly. As they play with them, Erik takes Carly to reveal to her a secret he kept. Despite his struggles, his father was a more renowned inventor who worked for the GDF, and he designed two mechanical cats to replace Kinzokutaiga, calling them Sun Lions and based them off of lions. The Mini-Sun Lions Erik made were a tribute to his father after he passed and left his company to him.

The Russian GDF branch has also made their own new mechas, a trio of robotic wolves called the Volch'ya staya. They send them onto Godzilla when he is sighted near Russia. To stop them from killing them, Erik and Carly activate the Sun Lions and send them to battle the Volch'ya staya. Sensing the mechas are too busy fighting each other, Godzilla leaves. Carly, who has had experience with the GDF, decides to take this matter into her own hands. As she and the family head out to assess the situation, the Shadow arrives on Earth.
