Episode 4

Samuel and Spencer split their party into groups to span the island, for the purpose of monitoring the geology and locating animals for rescuing. They also encounter new animals they haven't seen before, like a new species of otter, the flightless Listener, Drachameleons, Morganadons, Deinornisaurs, and Hunchquills. As they span the region, Samuel's predictions come to light: the northern volcanoes, such as Mt. Denham, burst. The eruptions destroy the northern peninsulas of the island, as animals and natives flee from the onslaught of lava bombs and pyroclastic flows. When contacted by the government for his insubordination, Samuel lies to them, stating that Skull Island will take three years to sink, and that his early launch is a precaution. Meanwhile, it turns out Bethany had been stuck on the island for 12 years, obsessed with reclaiming the Lost treasure with no success. She learns that Samuel is here, and believes that he has come to stop her...
