Well the British didn't fight the First World War cleanly either, so you know what, fuck the stuck up snobs.
Do you talk to Conq often? I'm curious what he got banned for and what he's up to.

Is any war had been cleaned as they told to the others?
The war = KILLING.
How the heck would be possible?

Eisenhower was the WORST when it came to this sort of crap; reading what he did to the POWs makes me angry in a way I don't care to be very often.
There is no excuse for treating POWs in such a manner; it violated the Geneva Convention as well.

Eisenhower was indeed freakin' terrible when it came to the treatment of POWs.
I pressume you've heard of his camps in the Rheinland, were God knows how many German soldiers starved to death...

Yep, then again i'm not suprised at all. My opinon on the Britsh Empire was already low, then again my opinion on humanity was low to begin with.

When you see stuff like this happening it's not easy to argu against what you're saying.

Yep. Honestly, people tend to overlook the arotictes of the Britsh or how the Nazis were the creation of the Treat of Vreasiles

So sad, does this mean there may have not been a Gentlemens' war in Africa? I kind of doubt it, because there are many accounts of Germans saying that the British were very nice to them on that front.

I haven't found any evidence that suggests otherwise regarding Africa; to my knowledge it really was a Gentlemans' War.

I don't know why, despite the death and gore in Africa, it seemed like a not-so-hellish place compared to the Eastern Front or the Pacific Theatre...

We also have to consider that the corpses were effectively "mummified" after one or two days in the sun, so the battlefields did not stink of rotting corpses like on the Eastern Fron during the Spring and Autumn.

Although one could argue that some Nations are historically more cruel when it comes to dealing with their enemies than other, what you're saying here is absolutely true.

Very interesting, something I've not heard about before. But in war there is no Good vs Evil, both sides often commit crimes. You just have to look at WWII and you see crimes committed by the allies and the axis, America's treatment of Japanese soldiers, Japanese treatment of POWs etc.

It is indeed true that every Army has psychopaths in it but the true historian must recognise the atrocities done by all sides, that's why i don't watch crap like the "History" Channel anymore; even National Geographic has gone bad..

I love Britain, too, doesn´t change the fact they did also do crimes in history.
My greatgrandma also told me sth about her father who was captured in the 1. world war.
The british camp leaders let the german POWs dig out deep holes, and at the end of the day
they had to sleep with 10 men in it...in the morning the 3 on the bottom where dead.
They often did such torturs there, as they believed in the antigerman propaganda.

That sounds absolutely terrible, and to think that British Officers who were captured by the German Army were given special priviledges and even a pay.

Also french officers were treated with high respect, that was the german honour
and respect for the enemy. They did not use it in the east ofc there it was just
awful.

What many don´t know, the Russians already invaded East Prussia in ww 1.
and even then did horrible war crimes and rapings, just noone cares for it,
cause it was not as awful as in ww 2.

Surprisingly enough, we learned about that in history class a few weeks ago.
Our teacher has studied both Russian and German history so he is the perfect man to teach you about European history objectively. We learned that it was, I think, due to Generals Paul Von Hindenburg and Erich Ludendorf that the German Army drove the Russians away from Tannenburg.
