Blaze lives a constant struggle between his past life as a Aura, and his now savage instincts as an Infected. He only turn a few years ago and has found it hard to accept his new life. He remember his perfect family and love so clearly, and now he has nothing but pain. He tried to be the good horse he once was, but the darkness is overpowering at times.

His new life has not treated him well. Bullied for his soft heart and tender ways; traits that were once honored when he was an Aura , but as now his weakness as an Infected.

This lack of belonging has left Blaze a socially deranged individual. He tries to stay away from the black blooded savages that are now his brothers and sisters.

20 or so years before he turned, Blaze had a mate and foal. That mate was a mare named Vixia, who is now Queen of the Infected. He is likely the only soul to remember who she was before she turned. Her eyes and tattoo's are not the only things to have changed. Her name, her persona, her purpose are now all broken and wrong. He yearns for the mare he loved and lossed, but she is passed that weakness and has embrassed the darkness. He can not follow her down that path, and so he is devastated.

His age makes him incredibly matured and brave. He is a leader in his own right, a selfless soul. But in this savage Clan, he has few who see him in such a way.

History:
Born tot he Solstice Clan, Blaze had the perfect life. He grew up as a strong Aura, who managed to live until 43 before turning infected. During his time as a Solstice he was respected, loved, and embraced by his Clan. He fell in love with a young in his twenties, a beautiful grey mare name Vixia. She was known by another name then, but she Queen of the Infected threatened his life should he tell anyone of her mysterious past. Vixia would have a foal with him, and the three were happy. Vixia was, indeed, a very different mare all those yeas ago.

When she succame to the Infection at the tender age of 23, when her foal was only two years of age and their mateship strong and deep. With tearful eyes, she told Blaze to never let there daughter come find her. Vixia had reasons to hate the Infected, many sick and dark reasons she would never tell a soul bar Blaze. He understood, and would keep their daughter safe and far away from her mother.

When he saw Vixia again later that moon, she was Queen of the Infected and wore the skull of a stallion as her crown.

Twenty years would pass, and he came to see, like so many, the vicious rage of Vixia. She became feared across the land, and he clung so desperately to the young beauty with the open heart he had mated with. Finally, it was his time. Their daughter grown, he would leave her with a broken heart and join the Infected. When he arrived, Vixia told him to keep their past a secret, or she would have him hunted and skinned.

Now, he stands in the shadows. He watched his beautiful lover, now dark and brooding. He tries to hard to catch her attention, to get close enough to try and soften her once more. But there is a anger so bitter and cruel beneath her eyes that even he fears the Queen.
