Description Hey guys !
Here is my first attempt of painting a landscape... i still have a lot to learn. I always loved the feeling of depth and air when it comes for this subject so i tried to illustrate this. I feel that i am half way there, so i still need some practice. This is a combination between a study and a personal idea, i used a photo as reference for how light works on leafy surfaces, and rocks.
Hope you like it!

wow for your first attempt this is really good only thing that I would suggest is to make the foreground darker, just so that it can read more as a foreground. At the moment I think that your mg and fg have pretty much the same values (e.g. the bridge and the rock below it), and that shadow area below the castle is too dark, it's drawing too much attention. You can check all this by making a b&w layer  Also I'm guessing that the Sun is coming from top left corner, beneath the mountains, so there's no way that the bridge would be lit like that, the castle would cast a shadow on it. I'm learning all that stuff myself, so hope this helps, all-in-all great work!

Thanks a lot for your advice I also felt that it should need more contrast between  fg and bg.. The sun is above the mountains, but i guess i have to practice lighting as well, it is a lot different than drawing a single object or character .

basically the same rules apply, since the reality that you're painting, in this case landscape, consists of many, many objects  they are all bound to rules of lighting, perspective, and all physics in general  composition is another thing, which I'm my opinion depends more on the artist themselves... Your illustrations are amazing btw!
