Artist's Notes: I love magical girls so much!! Mermaid Melody, Shugo Chara and Madoka Magica are some of the series that sparked my colourful and frilly obsession! It was about time I did a little fanart of them. Who's your favourite? My bae has always been Kyoko! Ps: The runes around the drawing are their original wishes written in witch runes! I always loved that from this series!

I hand drew them because I couldn't find a high quality image of the runes.
However, I had all the runes in front of me as reference, so that I could get their shapes as accurate as possible. Some runes have several forms too, so I just chose the one that I liked the most and that fit in best with the general style.
