BIO: Pinekit, Runningkit and Stonekit were born to Lilacpelt and Birchflight , a new MossClan couple. While they were cared for by their mother deeply, their father was almost nowhere in sight. But Pinekit didn't mind too much, just being happy with his own life. He didn't have a specific friend group, just talking to whoever he pleased, floating around the nursery and being mutuals with all the kits his age. When Birchflight was later exiled after murdering a cat in the middle of camp, Lilacpelt became more protective of her sons. Pinekit didn't quite fully understand what was happening to his family and ignored it all for the most part.
Pinepaw's first mentor was Tatteredflower , who had just left the nursery a couple moons prior. He quickly grew to get bored of their training sessions, wanting to have more fun and believing his mentor to be too strict. This is when he'd start going to secret apprentice meetings that involved partying and catnip stolen from the medicine den, which he got hooked on immediately. He learned to be sneaky with the catnip, which only became easier after he was given a new mentor, Aspensong , who was much more laid back compared to Tatteredflower. They got along much better, Pinepaw adoring Aspensong and their jokes.
While the parties were mainly apprentice exclusive, Pinepaw brought Runningpond with him, as he was the same age and posed no threat to getting them in trouble. But during one of them, Runningpond accidentally got his friend pregnant, and they stopped their reckless behavior. Pinepaw was sad that he couldn't bring Runningpond to parties anymore, but he still remained supportive and helped him watch his kits from time to time, who gave him the "fun uncle" title.
Pinepaw became a warrior a few moons after his uncle Fernstar became leader, being named Pinestride because of his confident nature. During this time, he developed a big crush on Honeyshade , Stoneleap's friend. He asked her out many times, but she never seemed interested. He chased after her heart for a few moons before finally deciding to give up. He consumed a little more catnip than he did before, trying to cope with his heartbreak. But with him spiraling deeper into drugs, he met another she cat who also had a passion for catnip. He and Tigersong got along quite well, often meeting up and having deep conversations with some catnip and other various herbs. He started to develop feelings for her, but wasn't as confident with expressing it this time, as he knew Stoneleap liked her as well. But to his surprise, she chose him over his brother.
Pinestride and Tigersong were a very happy couple, but he still felt bad for stealing Stoneleap's love. He tried being there for him when he started acting strange, but their relationship still seemed too damaged for him to help him. After he became leader, Pinestride felt comfortable enough to start a family, as Stonestar finally had other things to focus on. Tigersong, with a lot of effort, put a hold on her drug usage in order to experience a healthy pregnancy. Pinestride stopped taking them as well in order to help her more, but he took it even further and broke out of his addiction for good, now only consuming them on occasion. Thankfully, he had recovered just in time to comfort Tigersong when they were both kidnapped by twolegs and brought to an animal shelter. The group would soon be rescued, but Pinestride played a key role in keeping Tigersong as healthy as possible while they were in captivity.
Pinestride was nervous about becoming a father, as he didn't grow up with one. But with Runningpond's parenting as a reference in his head, he was able to be a good father to his kits, Heatherwind and Snailstem , making sure they always had his support. He and Tigersong are currently considering having a second litter, but she'd have to stop consuming her herbs once again, as she relapsed after leaving the nursery.
