Description
Shot at about 1.5 times life size with a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens.Cheap trick: I found this moth in my kitchen and trapped it under a glass. I took a napkin and place a little honey right on the edge of the napkin and placed the glass over it. As soon as the critter started eating I lifted the glass and took my shots.
I should have used more homey -that moth was very hungry and I only got about two minutes to shoot it...

God dammit, this creeped me out at 2:46 AM.
Also: I've always been kind of fascinated by moths. Especially since I had a HUGE one in my house last summer--seriously, dude had a wingspan the size of BOTH my hands put together. Thought it was a bat at first.
