Last year I saw a life size image of a Katydid and this composition got stuck in my head -for three weeks. I finally got the chance to take it before it drove me insane...All Canon gear: Xti (manual mode F14, 1/200, ISO 100) + an MPE-65mm macro lens (@ 3x). MT-24EX (-1/3 FEC) with home made diffusers.

The translucense of the skin is amazing. It's amazing to see things so close up like that! I just hope that I can develop the technique to take pictures half as good as these.
