Description A sleeping solitary bee. This one is a wasp or hornet mimic.

Tech specs: Canon 40D (F10, 1/250, ISO 100) + a Canon MPE-65mm macro lens (@4x) + a diffused MT-24EX macro twin flash (-2/3 FEC).

I think their metabolism just gets very low, but they are still aware of what's happening around them since it's not uncommon for them to wake up and fly off while I'm shooting.
