Here's something different. I recently got my hands on the special issue of Doctor Who magazine that featured the whole of TV Century 21 Dalek comic strip stories. After reading through it, I decided to try to make custom figures based on the comic colour schemes. I have four in mind.

This is the first one I've done. Probably the easiest to paint, is the dalek drone. I took one of the 'Dead Planet' daleks and simply painted the band and belt gold. Some drones possessed a blue dome. But that variant already exists as the guard dalek from 'The Chase'. So to make a difference, i left the dome alone.

Despite the minor change, it does still stand out. And I look forward in painting more daleks from the comics.
