ur welcome. I just found an artist today that I love. I commented on her work right above your comment. It's the Romanian girl who had some remark made to her on Facebook about being too much into the Gieger style.
I keep looking at artists like you and her and others here I just want to throw my art supplies in the garbage. When I started it was doodling in my truck during breaks from the job, then it got more serious. The comments I heard from people locally and on DA. However, the more I see the artists out there the more I feel I'm not an artist at all. You see? Before DA I never looked at art books or studied others art in book,
shows, etc. My head was clear. Now I can't start creating with my head being bombarded by all this wonderful work here. I'm talking about the top artists on DA with it's million members

Hey Steve, I know exactly what you're talking about! I hit that same wall when I was 19, and I got so disheartened I quit pursuing art as a career choice and went and joined the military! But I didn't give it up, I couldn't, I just kept drawing and painting for myself.
The thing is, you don't need to let it bother you that much... Eventually, you just come around to the conclusion that you're an artist, and what you do is part of who you are, so it's real and valuable for it's own sake. Your art is unique, and your style is mature and well developed. But you might want to branch out and try new techniques and/or media, growth is life, after all! I always found I got most dissatisfied with myself as an artist when I felt like I had stalled... (I love your art, by the way, so please don't stop)
There's always people out there that are going to be different, or in your mind at the moment, 'better', but I don't go for sliding scales and judgements myself, as they just get in the way of people making beautiful art! There's not enough art in the world, ever, so let's just keep doing it! T
