He'd never been there before. He never expected to end up there either. But all of a sudden he was, at Vyshe police station's jail. At first he assumed it to be a mistake. That's why he came with them so willingly. There was no reason for the police to arrest a man from Ground Zero, much less an esteemed scientist such as himself. It could get the police in great trouble. But as the hours slid by it became apparent that Moriz wouldn't just return to the safety of his lab. Not today, not tomorrow, and maybe not ever. Perhaps worse than the long wait, was not knowing. There was no TV, he had no family, and none of the cops answered his any of questions. He did ask for a lawyer, of course, but even he seemed to have trouble locating the biggest police station in all of upper Darkai. Moriz was used to keeping his thoughts occupied. He always did so, as he often found himself bored during the long business trips he had to make. But even that got harder as time passed and the pale shadows of day and night crept over the walls of his cell. And he wondered; What if I'm not getting out?
Wanted to do some backstory on this guy, and experiment with colors for a bit.
I've mostly been writing this month, but I want to keep my art skills polished as well.
