Description
Karim closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he tried to remain focused. Sergei was one of those executives, meaning HQ protected him. If he attacked that bastard he would get himself into a lot of trouble. But seeing his wounded friend laying on the floor struggling for his breath, that suddenly didn't matter to Karim anymore. Sergei wasn't one of those people he could defeat with clever trickery. There was only one way get out of there, and that was by brute force.Based on a chapter in book 2 (Yes EveVon , that chapter). Karim is usually a good guy. But when you hurt his friends, he won't hold back. He might not be the strongest out there when it comes to using raw powers, but his character and willpower more than make up for that.

I really love the colours on this piece, as you have a way of using a stereotypically 'feminine' colour like purple, and using it on a male character, without invalidating any of the more masculine elements of the character.

I don't feel like purple has to be feminine. it's just mysterious in the context of his character.
Also... the dude that got hurt is called Henri. He's a minor character in the series, a co-worker that eventually ended up in a different part of the organization, but a long-time friend of Karim that's he's willing to protect at all costs (just like any long term friend of him -- he's just that loyal XD)

I agree that purple doesn't have to be feminine, it often ends up being used that way though, which is why I said it's "a stereotypically 'feminine' colour". If you were aiming for mysterious though, it definitely worked!

There is always that character in a super natural genre novel that has no powers and makes it out with tech or raw intelect.
