I can't walk (yet), but at least my character can
I started by just making a character walk. Then I wanted to challenge myself and do a bit of body language and gradually change the mood of the character.
Things like these are truly fun to do on an afternoon or so. Really calming too.

'The Evolution of Sato - 2018' He started cute and went to cute AND hot at the same time!

I'd like to see more sketches like that. It's kind of unplanned in a way. It's like getting snapshots that aren't part of the official story,
that aren't a planned part of the narrative told, but instead are small glimpses of their lives accidentally caught before they
disappear into the street again.

After so many pages of story I'm afraid I can't draw anything with these characters that doesn't show at least a little of who they are

That's true. What I mean is that these sketches are a way to display the characters that's different than the cinematic-like drawing you usually post.
Both tell about the characters, but for some reason I find that the sketches tell it differently.

The cinematic scenes are straight from the story.
The sketches are usually just characterizations. My attempts at trying out their expressions and overall movement.
