This is a beautiful photo of a beautiful synagogue. Do you have any idea how old the building is?

Originally this synagogue, which was built 1911-1912 (architect: Ernst Dorn), was a private synagogue, later it was taken over by the Jewish Community and with its 1,400 seats served orthodox needs. Today it is liberal, but with non-mixed seating). It is popular for its the mixed choir and the cantor Isaac Sheffer.

I'm amazed that this synagogue is in Berlin and it survived both the Nazis and the war. Miracles do indeed happen.

I visited several synagogues in Berlin. Many have been rebuilt after the war with the help of the Jewish community.
