Gender stereotypes are boring and lame! Actually, pretty much all stereotypes are. I don't know if these are considered gender stereotypes but people often tell me that they're so surprised when they find out I'm pretty much a lesbian because I'm not manly or athletic. And also because I occasionally wear pink and seem "normal". Seriously, what the hell?
On the opposite end, I also get, "Oh, I should've known you were a lesbian because you don't wear makeup." Gee, maybe I don't wear it because I'm too lazy to have a makeup regimen, I'm cheap and don't feel like buying it, I think the way I look without it is okay, and finally because I'm allergic to most of it anyway. I have bad allergies and powdery stuff just makes me sneeze and cough.
I guess the point of all that is that people should be themselves and do they things they like and not conform to gender roles or other stereotypes.
