This has become one of my iconic photos and it's a personal fav.

His eyes still haunt me.

Meet Paulo.
He'll help you park your car for small change.
We talked for quite a while, I gave him cigarettes, money and breakfast.
Homeless.
Ill.
Look how thin he is. You figure out the rest of his story.

[About one year later I hit the streets trying to find Paulo again. I didn't, but I have talked with one of his homeless friends who has assured me he is better and has gained some weight. That brought me some... peace]

I remember Mike Shaw was the first to comment on this photo when he saw it on my previous account. He said "His eyes, DC, his eyes..."
Exactly.
So this is for you, Mikey.
