Description
Finally finished even if the scanner did crop one side of the work. Acrylic paint, enamel paint, I think oil at some point? It's textured but not as heavily as some of my other paintings. Various colored marker pens, various colored paint pens, ink pen 01, 05, 08, ball point black pen, burnt wood charcoal, HB and 2B pencil... probably forgetting something. 24 x 30 cm canvas panel. As usual heavily stylized.

A bit about what I intended to portray. Central figure is stuck in a gilded cage like construct. This infers that while this construct is safe it is a mundane existence as represented by the barren landscape the central figure resides within. To engage in life (the buildings at base) the figure must find a way out. To achieve this the figure must achieve awareness of self aka "consciousness" (desires, goals, ambition, personality). At present this is lacking as the hole in the figures head displays. The figure grasps his/her "consciousness" in one open hand and attempts to transfer it. The demonic entities represent the dangers/fears the figure will face in "life" once free of the cage.
