Description This dragon belongs to the 55 dragons design marathon that began on 1st of February and will last to the 28th of February.

It's a personal challenge where I'm trying to beat my own limits by modeling unique 55 dragon designs of my own in as short amount of time as possible.

Dragon 36/55! Jericho, Cagehead, Tower dragon

Imagine this huge beast sleeping in a giant cave on a giant Stalagmite(waking up every couple of months, flying out and eating whatever it finds).
On top of his head there is big bone structure looking like big bird cage. In it, a princess

Wouldn't that be so cool,, I mean, we've seen so many freckin princess locked up (on top of the tower of some haunted castle being guarded by a bad ass dragon) type of scenarios.. I remashed this idea to a whole new level

I know, sounds clicheed and you might ask, "Well if she is confined in that dragons horn/cage/prison thing, how would she survive, she'd starve to death in a matter of days"
my answer is " It's a fantasy for love of God, She eats Guano, Guano is nutritious " xD

I have couple more swell ideas up my sleeve, you just wait for it, my right cerebral cortex just got warmed up

about 5 hours, this was more complex so it takes more time. Other, more simple designs take less time.

LOL nice concept - for everyone who isn't a princess! Incredible detail work on the "cage"

The texture of the filigree is really great. Would be neat to see one with large armor plates, each with this kind of ornamentation, a Baroque Dragon.

That is a really cool idea... Although you would have to ask yourself how to get her in there in the first place - without getting yourself eaten...

Maybe some bad ass wizard made dragon horns grow into this intricate prison in the first place

As with most fantasy things, when in doubt about how something works, a wizard did it!!!

Nah, she was popped in there as a toddler. Eventually the ropes degraded and fell off her; the dragon's scalp oozes a sticky nectar. Her tears are its concience.

Heheh, good one, especially the nectar part ..
But actually, I sketched this on piece of paper and forgot about it..
This cage formed by dragons horns is able to open up like a clover,, four ways more or less..
You can notice the pivot point of the front part of cage(curled horns just above the nostrils)to split in two parts and move down, I suppose crab clamp mechanics could be applied..
