I wonder if you watched a certain scifi movie which stated that thylacines didn't become extinct, but - became humans ! They walk among men as men, BUT under stress they become feral again, showing stripes and violent behavior. They also reproduce marsupially.

I surfed the Wiki. It's THE HOWLING III. Imagine being a thylacine turned human and anxious , while trying to get on in the business world, to avoid stressful situations which would "hulk" you out. Charming sequence of the birth and growth of an adorable were-thylacine or thylacine-were baby. Also Dame Edna appears.

Thank you for creating and posting this. I would like to have observed them in the wild. Excellent work.

How did it fall entirely extinct? Let me guess... human activity?

Such beautiful being. It has been announced an embryo kept in alcohol could be employed for cloning. Wishful dreams?

Nice render work! Also, not a dino! Still something extinct though.
Its great to see you mix it up and how your skills translate over to different subject matter so well.

Not enough time for all the animals and organisms that I'd like to try and reconstruct, model, render.

4 million years ago, they made it all the way though B.C to A.D. Wow!
I heard about the last one in the zoo. And read why they were extinct.
I'm curious about prehistoric. I even have fossils I found and also when I was gem mining . Anyway, I like the picture.

I almost don't want there to be a surviving population. Given how little sightings there have been, I'd almost be concerned that a surviving population would be going through a fairly sizable bottlenecking event. It's not an outcome I'd wish on any animal

My thoughts exactly. It must be extremely tough existence if that would be the case. Unaware, swinging above the abyss of extinction.

I love thylacines, This looks really good sad that we can't actually get a shot like this anymore.
(Ps. they aren't the largest carnivorous marsupials, I know the Thylacoleo carnifex was about the size of a female lion. Not sure if they're the largest but they were definitely bigger than the thylacine)

Known to man, in a coexistence kinda way. They are definitely not largest to ever exist. Thylacoleo and Thylacnus megiriani were larger.

I don't know if you are aware of that, but there are a few very trustworthy accounts of people spotting them alive in the wild in Australia, including testimonies from park rangers and Biologists.
They might turn out to be another case of Lazarus taxon.
