The coronation of the new king, Charles III, pissed off a lot of people from the UK.
But, you know what they say: "it's better to be pissed off than pissed on", which is exactly what some British subjects are thinking right now.
So far, the amount spent for the coronation event varies between 50 and 100 million GBP, while the British people is facing an unprecedented crisis, with empty shelves in stores, less and less money, some of them even choosing to eat sandwiches every day and to cook once or twice per week in order to save some cash.
At least, this is what the media is telling us, but the media, doesn't matter which side it's on, can be very subjective at some point, so I'm taking everything with a grain of salt.
I've never been in the UK - except for a 6 hours stop in an airport while we were relocating somewhere else, so I don't know the British people per se, and I think it's unfair to express any opinion in this matter.
That's why I have a few questions for the people who really know the answer, and I think noone is more qualified than a genuine British citizen.
1. Is it true that Great Britain is confronting an unprecedented economic crisis, as in basic goods missing from the stores?
2. Is it true that there are cities where the immigrants are making their own laws, ignoring the fact that they are only guests there?
3. Is it true that people can get questioned and even arrested if they are praying silently in front of an abortion clinic?
If you feel like providing some short answers for the above, I would be very grateful.
Thank you.
