Description So I got this fur coat to cut up for my Thorin costume, but before I destroy it, I wanted to get some silly pictures in this silly pimp coat. I got it at the thrift store and it really did cost me the $20 in my pocket.

The wig took forever and is still not 100% done, but I'm happy enough with the neck up that I'll finally start making the actual costume bits.

Walk into the Mount like whaddup I'm such a big shot
I'm so pumped about my swag from the Gob's hut
Blood on the sleeve, it's all so typical
the Orcs be like "DAMN! That's the Goblin Cleaver"

Rollin' in, Rollin' deep, headed to my gold you see
Dressed in all my furs and my leather boots it's sweet you see
Dwarves standin' next to me, probably should've washed this, smells like Elves oh YUCK
But shit, it was 99 wolves!

Hell yeah! The leather coat I'm using is also thrifted, as are the boots I'll be altering. And actually, my last minute Galadriel last year was an altered thrifted dress.
Besides, leather and fur costs so much! It's cheaper just to thrift and alter if you can. The rest of the outfit will be from scratch, though.

yeah, i know about scratch! i don't have a sewing machine so the costumes i sew together are from scratch. the one im working on now is hand embroidered. it's bitter sweet. Takes a long time but it seems more personal. would love to upload a few pics in the near future for you to see. i found a really good fabric store and kinda went crazy. it was only like 2.00 a yard. how could i not?anyway, you have really great cosplay skills! Thank you!
Hand sewing a whole costume would be such a pain. I have a sewing machine and a serger. I still hand stitch when I need to, but I LOVE my machines.
That's a great deal for fabric of any kind! And I'd love to see your work!
