Big. Boy he was big. Gnarled like an overgrown oak, only a hell of a lot faster. Mean looking, with a smirk about the nearest his perpetual scowl ever got to anything resembling a smile. He wore an eyepatch, and heavy, grey combat gear. His life had been one of almost universal violence, most of his own making. He'd soldiered all across the world, for governments, insurrections, terrorists - hell, he'd even done a few bank jobs, though he'd have willingly confessed he'd made a hash of all of them. And in all that time, he had crossed plenty of superhumans.

He saw her. Slender. Fair. She was facing away from him, but from her figure, her manner, her straight, bronze-red hair and simply the manner with which she held herself, she was obviously lovely, and obviously a cape. He took a moment to look her up and down, to admire how her leotard hugged her torso, the sight of her sleek thighs, and then he took a step forward. This would be easy.
"I would not," the redhead said, with apparently full confidence, "come any closer if I were you. There's an explosive device in this room. But then, you knew that didn't you? Monsieur-the-Bomb sends his regards."

Ah. Not so easy, then.
