Description
My first meeting with Sara had been, shall we say, eventful. It had been a while ago so I thought I’d be daring and invite her on a girls’ night out. I wouldn’t normally do this kinda thing but I thought it may help CHRYSTEL and I build up our relationship with our fellow investigators.
So, I’d gone all out. Booked an evening at a fancy wine bar/disco between Middle Waters and Carrington, hired a limo to pick everyone up, got in the finest drinks, nice dress…
Ah yes, this could be a fun night.
The limo picked me up first. I’d gone for, what I call, my lava tsunami outfit for tonight. Perhaps, in the back of my mind, unconsciously, I wanted to look hot. Just in case. I mean, you never know who you may meet on these things. Nice waiter perhaps…
Sorry, I digress.
Actually, on a similar theme, the chauffeur was rather dashing. Tall, dark and handsome and to be honest, I felt a little silly falling for such a stereotype but hey, it was a bit of fun. Not often I get to indulge myself in fantasies after all.
CHRYSTEL had been out all day with Abigail and we’d be picking them up later but for now, the limo headed out to Sara’s place.
“Nice outfit,” I said with a wink, as Sara climbed into the limo.
Sara laughed. “Thank you. I had a feeling you may approve.”
We drove off, the two of us taking in the luxury of our ride. Gorgeous velvety seats, a thick, plush carpet in a rich purple, mood lighting, we’d got it all.
We sat down and Sara noticed a bottle of wine.
“I know it’s early but shall we?” She asked with a grin.
A short time later, we were getting a little giggly. Not drunk. I don’t do drunk. But just really enjoying the atmosphere, sharing stories of our adventures and looking forward to the night ahead. We were enjoying ourselves so much we hardly noticed that the route we were taking was no longer the one we were expecting….
