Asmodeus

Smart, handsome, guy of a very few words and a hardcore lover, yep, that's Asmodeus.
Asmodeus was born in a wealthy family being only child his parents spoiled him since he was very young. He grew up thinking of himself as somebody superior to the rest of the world. When he found out that he was betrothed to Lucifer he didn't mind at first, in fact, he was happy with their decision. He would be in charge of somebody else's life. He tried to control Luz life and as her parents had forced to be with him all the time he pushed her friends away. In that moment a demon took possession of her body. Asmodeus was left with a feeling of guilt and Luz made sure he would feel it really deep the moment she returned to Xolil. Meaning that she beat the crap out of him.

He saw in Luz a fire of passion he had never thought possible before. She was eager to see the world, to make friends. She wanted to fight for her people. Their race had always been the target of the White Cross, and the two teenagers were witnesses of the pain the White Cross was capable to bring. The Pristine Army attacked their city while they were little kids and they witnessed the inhuman carnage of their people; both of them lost at many important people in that event.

He's a very calm and quiet person, only speaking when somebody asks him something or when he think he needs to speak his opinions. Even when he's friendly with his friends, he rarely interacts with other people. He's very cold with strangers and sometimes he can be very hurtful. He usually thinks twice before speaking but sometimes he just blurt some bad comment or insult to other people without even thinking about it.

Just like Luz, he masters the control of the Sombrem. The Tikel Sombrem is the ability to shape shadows; the Devas can use the shadows but they need of the light. Without a light there can't be a shadow, that's why their powers are weaker during the nights. The shadows used by Devas are immediately replaced by another shadow in a natural manner, almost as if it hadn't been taken any from the beginning and then it can be kept as a defense. The Devas wrap the shadows around their arms in case they need them and there is little light. Those leather straps you see on his and Luz's arms are actually their Tikel Sombrem.

He isn't in love yet, and he can't decide if he would prefer a guy or a girl as his partner. Many guys and many girls are always after him, finding very attractive his tail and wings. Usually they just want to have a good time with him and he almost never complains… unless they get too fresh with him. He likes to be the dominant person in the relation. He wants a caring and sweet person to be his partner.

The snakes you see in Luz's pants and Asmodeu's shirt are the representation of their Goddess Coatlicue, ultimate deity in the duality of their religion. She's represented by two heads of snakes sometimes facing in different directions or facing at each other, always showing their fangs. Even though this deity may seem aggressive she actually is a benevolent and peaceful deity.
