Someone... perhaps?... requested I do a picture of Superman in the same universe as [link] and [link] . So here he is; the Man of Tomorrow.The way I see it, this is him at the beginning of his career. He's just a farmboy who finds himself with these incredible powers... damned if he knows how he got them, but he's doing his best to put them to good use. He doesn't fly because, frankly, he doesn't know he CAN. Later, he'll discover where he came from, the true extent of his abilities, and gain a more... streamlined costume. For now, he's strictly golden-age.

He looks to me like the original TV superman. He has that hulking good-naturedness to him; like you'd punch him, and he'd make a joke. Then, he'd kick you into orbit.

Superman's left hand looks rather smooshy -- it lacks definition, to me. Though it looks like you were drawing with a felt-tip pen, so given that context, it's a testament to your skill that he doesn't look like he's wearing boxing gloves.

It was one of those deals where the pencils looked swank but the pen fouled it up. I also happened to be watching "Macbeth" at the time, so my attention was diverted!

The 1940's version is my personal favorite. He was still a boy scout, but he had a lot of Dirty Harry in him.
