A DC Marvel amalgam artwork requested by: , to have Superspider (An amalgam of Superman and Spiderman) ,versus DoomVenom (An amalgam of Doomsday and Venom).Superspider's design was intially based on 's Spider Boy; batdude727.deviantart.com/art/… . The finished design has elelments similar to Supe's New 52 suit and a belt/symbol, the cape helps to reinforce the Superman design but also links to Spiderman 2099's and Spiderman Unlimited's look.
DoomVenom's design was a hybrid of my previous Venom sketch;dan21almeida95.deviantart.com/… and my Doomsday Sketch; dan21almeida95.deviantart.com/… At first i was unsure how to draw an amalgam of Venom and Doomsday but at some point it clicked, have Doomsday's spikes and Venoms symbol merge, and to have DoomVenom have eyes like Doomsday but also reminiscent of Anti-Venom.
This piece started out as a pencil and pen sketch, which then evolved into a Digital painting, that challenged me and gave experience painting digitally in what works and what doesn't work and how there are different ways to working than if i was doing it with traditional materials.
Overall i had alot fun doing this, doing something different.
I will also complete the pen/markers version soon.

well yes. previous sketches/drawings that came up with the pose weren't that good so i thought it would be best if i were to do my drawings/sketches based on poses from reference images, until i've gotten to a point where i'm good at creating my own poses/compositions.
i guess i should have mentioned at the compostions stage of the sketches, at the time i thought that it wouldn't matter, i didn't/don't intend to copy or steal anyone's work, my intentions were to utilize his work as a reference for the characters poses.

apologies about my recent lack of updates, i've been distracted amongst other things, i'm working on the markers version, i haven't forgotton the alternate version/s either i will get those done at a later point.
