New character !

Avery Grey is Jun's current boyfriend (remember, Jun and Val dated but are just friends now.) The desperately handsome Avery is a hotshot in Jun's school's gay/bi/emo community, the kind of boy every girl and half the boys want and the one everyone talks about. For years, both Jun and Valentino swooned when he passed by them. As Jun came into his own in his junior year, Avery took notice of the half-Asian, half-dressed wonder, and the two began to date. This was about the time when Valentino, never one known for his good timing, realized he still had feelings for Jun. Thus Val's emo haircut.

On the outside, Avery seems like a perfect person: gorgeous, considerate, friendly, and affectionate. Everyone in school knows he's been through some family crap and they admire him for his courage. Everyone adores Avery--everyone except Valentino and Curtis. Valentino can't get over the feeling that Avery's kindness and affection are superficial, and that he's subtly, delicately manipulating Jun to get what he wants. Avery has never said a single unkind word to anyone, but Valentino just can't shake his gut feelings.

And Curtis? Well, Curtis just doesn't like anybody.

Mmm, a new pretty emo boy for me to draw XD It's taken me more than a year to come up with a boyfriend for Jun, but I'm very pleased with Avery and the love triangle he adds to Curtis's story. It's strange how once I figure out a design for what a character will look like, their stories almost write themselves. I just almost wish I'd saved the name Avery for a more prominent character since I love that name so much, but once the Forces That Be tell me what a character's name will be, the name STAYS. The name Bryce? I used to hate that name, but it fell out of the sky and stuck! Now I love it.

I HATE THIS WATERCOLOR PAPER. I've been doing watercolors at school which have come out nice, so I figured HEY I'll do one at home! However, I didn't realize that this ghettoass watercolor paper I had would murder my watercolors the way it did. I HATE how the colors smudged and blurred so much. This is kind of 'eh', so I may redo this on better paper and hope it comes out better :\
