This piece is so layered and deep emotional that only a person who suffers these things can truly comprehend the full meaning of your try to express something as so destructive as headache.
Shadows are perfect, and this 'Da Vinci' moment in behind, with a sketches and writings is extraordinary well done.
The pain is visible entity, and can be felt dripping from every last pore of his soul. But, all so, I very much like that dynamite detail that gives at least a little bit of humor in the darkest situations.

I hope the man who commissioned this was pleased with it. You've captured the pain and despair so well and so sensitively and without using the over-stylised 'skewer through the eye' etc! As a chronic sufferer myself, your commissioner-client has my deepest sympathy! I'm going to say that I 'love' this but I don't; I hate it - looking at it makes me cry - but you know what I mean!
