Thank you. Finished up the rest of the room this week. Started on the final render, which will take all next week.

This si gorgeous how much do you charge for a mesh like this?

Thanks! It depends on the complexity of the scene. This particular room cost about $800 - 1000. That's factoring in render time, as I need to spend time rendering out the background plate for the HD composite.

Wow that's steep even for a custom mesh.

I've seen people charge more for a lot less, and I've seen people charge less for a lot more, including giving free work away that, quite frankly, is worth thousands. I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I take your remark somewhat personally. I hope my resulting explanation is not offensive to you.
In this case, there were other requirements for this mesh, including the fact that there were complications involving the placement of the people in the scene. Basically, I had to build an imaginary room around the people there and make it work for the customer. This required more than just straight modelling. It also involved hours of planning, talking with the client, and some math to figure out specific camera angles and whatnot to construct the final set so that the real life actors can interact with it in final composite. It also involved me giving up my computer for several days as a 1080p HD background plate (3 of which are animated, 300-600 frames) from 5 different perspectives was rendered. The amount of work involved actually put me at a loss, when time is factored in.
I hope this shows why the client and I agreed to this price. In the future, I will remember not to share information like this again, as, technically, it is private between my client and myself and indicates unprofessional behavior on my part.

I apologize if I seemed like i was being judgmental, I thought the price was strictly for the mesh...having done a couple of animations, and right now I'm taking 3d animation courses I understand completely. I didn't have all of the information and honestly I would have charged more where animation is concerned. I have seen folks charge exorbitant amounts for meshes that just weren't equal in quality to the price. This however, with animating, and multiple angles and frame count is cheap by comparison.

It's all good, keep up the good work man, and happy rendering/animating.

You're welcome, that's part of why I created the group.
