My first art post on this site at last! For this one, it's of Ryu from the hit fighting game television series, Street Fighter. I have an idea of what I wanted to work on as a way to fill up more stuff for the gallery but I'll get to it when I feel ready to.

The appearance of this Ryu is more a portrayal of his Street Fighter 2 incarnation, as well as Capcom Vs. SNK. In terms of the pose, it was based on his portrait in Street Fighter Alpha with the glove checking, which did come off as a bit weird looking but I did what I could.

The background is of Suzaku Castle, the trademark stage of Ryu (Thanks Super Smash Bros). I've wanted an excuse to have something in the background so that I won't have to end up using the blank background as how I used to do. I've also been looking into

This art is also a good way for me to work with shading, folds and muscles some more. It was a bit of a struggle for me to figure out how any of these work here, but hopefully it does look good.

I've also replaced the watermark that would've been with dannyboy2013/dannyboy2020 so that it'll be with DanBuck02, the one I'm sticking with. Though with future arts the name might be changed so I'll probably update these when the time comes.

And as it seems to be a good time to mention, I've also posted this art on to my twitter account ! It includes a description with images that were used as reference materials to this art, as well as some lengthy mumbo jumbo of words that are probably the same as I've mentioned here.
