now, i didnt take this pic while i was in the USA. This was taken through a window (thats why tis a bit blury) from my pa's house in july. the reason...well we had international guests comming from the USA and he decided to erect the American flag for them...so at 6am..the morning the americans were arriving i took this...and then jumped in the car to go pick them up from the airport...they were mighty suprised when they saw it erected on the flag pole in the back yard!The roof you can see is to the pool house...
has been brightend so it could be seen clearer..but dark at 6am in winter!

Well people never thought that Rome would fall either... Anyway, my feelings about the picture would be more like a bit of defiance in the middle of darkness. Just my way of looking at things.

there's a strange message that seems to come from this... the predominant darkness; the ominous clouds. and in the centre you have the american flag - shorter than surrounding trees... this seems to tell of the falling of a nation.
