SPOILER ALERTif you haven't played Trespasser yet, then go play it.
As for me, I'm in a deep depression, don't eat don't sleep and wait for next DA game from Bioware in hope.
It's insane how you get attached to characters and how they make you feel. Or I'm just too sensetive lady.
PS my Inquisitor is a knight enchanter. She can make a giant sword out of nowhere. So I thought she can make a hand too. Not so hard, right?

Well. see, after Awakening I've played (fire emblem: awakening IF, you can swallow buying a 3ds, and the game)
I've realized, that bioware doesn't favor the happy ending route, like at ALL.
They spin TOO much bad "deal with it crap cus LIFE" in it, and you CAN have a realistic deep rpg that DOESN'T rip your heart out everytime. (I mean, come ON, mass effect AND DAO had your character DIE (dao to a certain extent) ) And here in awakening, you can STILL have those dark themes and COME ON top.
dude, In Awakening, you can MARRY your character to ANY Male character! (ssr, was eehh, it skipped this game) and not ONLY marry them, but you can have KIDS with them
and those kids will grow up and FIGHT WITH you.
And you get to create your own character, its like a anime character creator
get to choose the body type, name AND 3 VOICES PER BODY TYPE.
You get a pixel art version of that character, anime style drawing IN GAME and A 3D MODEL.
Oh man, plus the plot is REALLY good, (well to my own opinion, it sticks VERY well for me)

I feel like Solas isn't thinking rationally, for once, with this plan. I feel like he is being driven by guilt to return the world to how it was. But ending another world to get there? What sense does it make? If our Lavellan's cannot change his heart or kill him, and he does indeed end up ending the world, I just hope his conscious can bare having the blood of two worlds on his hands. Such heart break! Much Sad!

I just finished Trespasser with my Lavellan (romanced Solas of course)....That ending slide....My heart just broke.
I hope Lavellan can save Solas from himself....I would hate to kill him....or to have him destroy the world XP

Beautiful! This is how I felt at the end of the DLC too! I wanted so badly for there to be an option for us to go with him, like how the Warden could go with Morrigan. But nooooo, Bioware insists on being cruel sadists. I want my Lavellan to be with Solas! *sob*
Despite getting my heart ripped out (again), I really did like the DLC. It was a good ending, setting up for the next game nicely.
Now we have to wait two/four years for the next saga of the Dragon Age world.
I hate waiting.

Yes, when I got to the end I was pretty sure I missed something, that I could go with Solas but start the end of the world. And I was so desperate that I would have agreed to exterminate Thedas for good (what evil things love can bring!). And when I realized the was nothing like it I was devastaded.

you can still feel lost body parts and if you're a mage you just have to forget you've lost them ... i think.
the solas-romance is sooo cruel!

the first dragon age character who broke my heart was loghain - his love story with queen rowan is way too sad!

One gets marriage, other - happy adventures, we got huge hole in our hearts.
At DAO my heart broke Alister. I played as a mage and he told my baby they can't be together, because he's a king now. And who helped him to be crowned?? I was really mad at him.

I can't say I have that much plythroughs x) , but I have plenty. Though almost every time I end up with the same decisions and same romanced characters, oh how creative I am T_T

I saw that last scene between Lavellan and Solasn, and it just squeezes at the heart...!! It's so bittersweet...and yet the love story is so beautiful 
And unfortunately we've gotta wait till the next game (or two) to find out...

I actually like these bittersweet love stories, I make some myself. But it's really different and painful when you have to live through that with the character you care so much about and almost identify with yourself(damn those rpgs!).
And I hope we can. Or I'll die. And every Solavellan in the world.

I agree - RPGs where we come to care so much for a character really can touch us in more ways than one
...And yeah, every Solavellan is not gonna be happy if this romance goes to the pits (much like how every Mass Effect fan went berserk over the ending). Here's hoping it has a happy ending like the others!
