1st point, that's basically what I was trying to say, just better explained. 2nd, It's not only completely unlike Yang to use something like that over her own two fists, it comes across as her giving up. How? The rules of Death Battle are: Characters can't know each other strengths or weaknesses if they aren't from the same universe, they can't use any abilities they don't have in canon, and they have to kill their opponent even if that isn't something they normally do. Yang didn't display any abilities she doesn't have in canon, she fought Tifa like she would any other unknown opponent, and she killed her. What's the problem? And the animation is made after the winner is decided, so don't whine that it's inaccurate because it doesn't matter anyways.

It was a promotion match, Tifa was handicapped and Yang was given a boost beyond what shes capable of.

Total damage output, Tifa: 111,628.8 tons+ > 80 tons Yang w/ Semblance (Even with DBs calculations, Yang was outmatched)
And here are the individual tonnage for her attacks, form normal strikes to limit break enhanced.
(153 tons-force * 7.6) * 4(PH's special ability at full Limit Bar) = 4651.2 tons-force (Normal attacks/punch/kick)
(4651.2 tons-force (Tifa's normal strength while wearing fully charged PH) * 1.25 (Beat Rush)) * 2 (Yeah!) = 11,628 tons-force
(4651.2 * 1.375 (Somersault)) * 2 = 12,790.8 tons-force
(4651.2 tons-force * 1.5 (Waterkick)) * 2 = 13,953.6 tons-force
(4651.2 tons-force * 1.625 (Meteodrive)) * 2 = 15,116.4 tons-force
(4651.2 tons-force * 1.75 (Dolphin Blow)) * 2 = 16,279.2 tons-force
(4651.2 tons-force * 1.875 (Meteor Strike)) * 2 = 17,442 tons-force
(4651.2 tons-force * 2.625 (Final Heaven)) * 2 = 24,418.8 tons-force
(Note that these calculations are for one arm Tifa threw Cloud with one arm, double the results for both with a total of 232,560 tons! 10.5 times the power of the Nagasaki bomb, which was worth 23 kilotons or 23,000 tons of force.) And this is going by DB's own data, that lowballs at best and most often.
Every singe one of those attacks would have killed Yang, and as you will read below, Tifa didn't need the PH gauntlet's because Yangs durability is only 80 tons.
And Yangs durability was overstated as shown here
In the video provided by Deathbattle! they used the max pressure the mechanical press could exert on an object rather than what the object actually withstood.
The press can exert 3,000,000 pounds of pressure, which when divided into tons (2,000 per ton) that equals out to 1,500 tons, however the pillar broke at 1,600,000 pounds, which equals 800 tons.
At 10% that equals 80 tons total.
Now I'm not making up the 10% fact, here is the page that provided it, by actual engineers. As said in the page: 'Concrete is usually assumed to be about 10% as strong in tension as it is in compression. That tensile strength is the basis for its ability to resist bending, or its flexural strength.'

This makes sense and here is a smaller scale example. Why do you think martial artists break cinder block slabs by hitting in the middle not the sides?
Answer: Because the middle that isn't supported is the weakest point where it will bend the most and will thus break, just like Yang getting hit through the pillar.
Remember the video providing the example used in the DB Tifa vs Yang episode, the pillar breaks at 1,600 KIPS which is 1,000 pounds per kip that translates to 1,600,000 pounds. Divide this by one ton (2,000) and you will get 800 tons at the compressive. And as Yang took the hit form the side of the pillar that means we can reduces it further by the 10% flexural value, which equals 80 tons of durability for Yang.

And the biggest red flag outside of the skewed research is the big obvious promotion at the end when the Vytal tournament flag fell face first just 3 days prior to the start of RWBY season 3, and just before the partnership with RoosterTeeth.
This was planned to happen, it wasn't a fair match.
So it DOES MATTER, they cheated Tifa.

First of all if you have a problem with the host's math, say you have a problem with the host's math not that one of the characters "cheated". One's an intelligent statement that opens the door for an intelligent discussion. The other is an idiotic statement that makes it hard to take anything else you say seriously. Just some advice.
Now I agree that the show undersold Tifa's strength. The problem is you've used bad physics and misrepresented the source material to swing her way too far in the opposite direction. You found her strength by measuring what she can do with one arm, and then doubling it because she has two arms and can use them both at the same time. That's not how it works. She can't use the strength of both arms in one punch, and even if she punched with both arms at the same time you wouldn't get that result. Getting hit twice with one amount of force is not the same as getting hit once with twice the amount of force. So all of those numbers need to be cut in half to start with, best case scenario. Next is Premium Heart. Yes it boosts her strength when her limit bar is full. But as pointed out in the show, the bar resets every time she uses a limit break and takes time to fill back up. Now she could fill it up and fight endlessly without ever using a limit break. But realistically that's not going to happen. So by your math everything needs to be divided by another 4.
Next you're underselling Yang's durability, which I don't blame you for because the show itself undersold it. Instead of making the point "She got punched through this pillar you need to punch harder to hurt her." they should have pointed out that she was punch through the pillar, however much force it would have taken, and was completely unharmed and only mildly dazed. Seconds later she took the exact same attack with the exact same amount of force and completely tanked it without flinching. An attack that would have hurt her previously couldn't anymore. Also while they focused on her ability to survive a fall from terminal velocity they ignored the hit that launched her that high in the first place. The initial blow would need to launch her 1200 feet at minimum. But she was in the air for almost 2 minutes so that number is quadrupled approximately. So the amount of force need to launch someone 4800 feet plus the impact and she's still completely unharmed at the end. Plus she's now that much harder to hurt and she can now hit that hard
Now if somebody with more time than me wants to figure out exactly how strong Tifa actually is and exactly how durable Yang is and wants to compare them I'll listen. But none of this changes what the hosts said was the deciding factor. Tifa doesn't have that durability. She's a glass cannon. She can't take hits like Yang can. But if you can find an example from the huge ass FF7 EU of Tifa tanking something beyond what Yang has done I'm willing to listen. But until then I have to agree that Yang would have won.
And the flag at the end proves nothing. Yeah, they used the fight to promote volume 3. So what? It not like Yang losing would have made a difference. Yang wins? That was awesome. Go watch her kick more ass on RWBY. Yang loses? Well that sucked. Go watch RWBY and see her not get her ass kicked. Actually it would have been better for Tifa to win. Not only is it funny that her bar is decorated to celebrate an event she just ruined by killing one of the competitors, but the whole thing foreshadows how bad volume 3 is going to be for Yang.

Actually I can add both arms because she would USE both arms in combat, not to mention her legs. Getting hit by 4651.2 tons of force 6 to 10 times in a row is going to easily crush Yang, and that's before the limit breaks are used so the only division going on here is Yang durability of 80 by 10.5 times the Nagasaki bomb, that's a no brainer.
I even shown step by step how they got the pillar feat wrong so I don't know what else to say about that, I used legitimate equations and facts in the real world just like they do.
And its easy to prove that Tifa is not a glass cannon, she tanked a supernova during the last battle with Sephiroth. So there, pillar feat officially trumped. XD
And yes, gameplay feats matter, otherwise Doom guy couldn't outrun his own missiles and spot cloaked enemies.
And as far as the flag goes, I don't know how much bigger and redder it has to be, but that is a clear indication of favoritism to their parent company. Like a brick in the teeth.

Tifa should have won, and that fight has been debunked so it should be changed. That's something they should do as professionals, they want to claim to live up to a standard, then they get to live up to it.

I already saw it... many times in a couple of RWBY pics you commented on that, again, had nothing to do with the Death Battle (seriously, on a Chibi Weiss pic by the legendary Bleedman? What does that have to do with the Death Battle, something Weiss isn't even directly involved in? Does Bleedman even watch Death Battle?). We get it; she's stronger than Yang. At least the battle isn't as shameless as AVGN Adventures vs Our Wallets... Or Vegeta vs Mewtwo...
