Ahaha, yes! Koga is love Koga is life nfhdjkvhnsdjl. You are definitely not alone, I actually just posted a little comic on my tumblr sideblog for fellow Koga fans, celebrating reaching over 200 followers!! :'D koga-appreciation.tumblr.com/p… So, it seems there's actually quite a few of us ^-^!

Yeah, she's a human and a demon slayer, though, not an 'official' demon slayer. She didn't grow up in Sango's village of demon slayers, she just, as a child was saved by a demon slayer, and that inspired her to want to follow in that slayer's footsteps, standing up to demons and helping other villages. She does it in her own way though, learning about demons and how to fight from kind strangers that stayed at her parents' inn, and now wearing her own ensemble that sort of resembles a demon slayer's, but is really just a basic 'ninja' outfit with armor and a short kimono thing to cover up. Kamiko begins traveling around, wandering between villages in search of any one person or any town of people that might require her specialized skills for hunting demons.
She first meets Koga when he turns out to be the demon she needs to kill for her very first paid demon-slaying 'mission'. He only insults and belittles her, which ticks her off and only makes her more determined to defeat him (can u feel the luv tonite XD). A lot of little events happen that long story short eventually lead to them recognizing their misunderstandings of one another, Kamiko deciding to actually help out Koga and the wolf-demon tribe (twice), and finally, him asking her to travel around alongside him to prove to his fellow wolf-demons that he has human friends and humans shouldn't just be slaughtered and eaten like animals (cuz Kagome's influence).

Ooooh, I love it! Simple and sweet, but it keeps that InuYasha vibe about it! It's painful to see really good OCs, but then they just have a God awful backstory. Great job my friend~! ;D When I imagined Koga and Diya meeting for the first time a friend of mine helped me develop the backstory a little better. Essentially Diya taunts him to the point where he chases her up a tree. Hehe, get it? Cat and dog? XD Still cheesy but I'm a sucker for humor and all that jazz. I really didn't realize how much of a love I had for Koga myself until a few years ago. I got to meet his English voice actor and the rest is history xux;

I also have a wolf demon OC named Ruka who's...quite a piece of work xux; More or less a bully who will do anything for Koga's affections. Needless to say she and Diya definitely do NOT get along >u<

AHHH THANK YOU SO MUCH FNDJFNDSJ My best friend has helped me develop Kamiko as well ^3^. Yay for helpful frieeeennddsss! We've been developing her by herself and her relationship with the wolf chief for over a year now, so I'd hope it's decent at least XD

OMG YES XDDD. Okay honestly, when I first stalked your art and saw Diya with Koga, it suddenly made me all insecure about Kamiko for a moment because I was thinking like "Omg a cat demon with him, that's such a cute and great dynamic omg... How did I not think of this fbhdjbfjsd" XDD. Previously mentioned bestie reminded me of reasons why Kamiko is still great so don't worry I got over that sudden insecurity quick, but, yee. I am all for that cat and dog dynamic dude XD.
I wanna know moar about Diya too fndhsjlafsnd, do you have stuff posted talking about her backstory or anything???

Oh and regarding last tidbit... Dude, dude. I was thinking of having a character like that in my KamiKoga story XDD. Though I might just fill that role with Ayame? Idk fhdsjkfncjs I just, want a wolf demon girl that's into Koga before he and Kamiko are a couple, that can bring about this point of Kamiko being insecure (once again) in her feelings for Koga, thinking along the lines of "What am I even doing trying to gain his affections? He's a wolf-demon... He belongs with another wolf-demon..." She has a lot of insecurities in regards to her relationship with Koga my poor bby ;____;
But then when they a couple he constantly gives her the reassurance she needs and they're so cute ;____;
Like...
She's very self-aware and overthinking (which often leads to insecure moments), while Koga is very brash, tends to just 'wing-it', and has all his confidence (that can quickly turn into arrogant cockiness) y'know... So that in the end they actually balance each other out 
I love my ship I tend to ramble about them whenever given the opportunity Im srry XD

It's funny that you mention that...I sort of have the same sort of idea with Diya and Koga xux Not that it's not an awesome concept! Great minds think alike amiright *shot* In Diya's backstory it stated that she had previously fallen for a mere human, but said human ran off with another woman behind her back *dundunduuuun* I did end up creating a panther demon by the name of Ani as a love interest for Diya, but the thing was was that he (headcanon wise) totally friend zoned her =u=;

But as a side note, it feels nice to be able to talk about fan characters with other people, so I don't mind one bit! No one ever asks about Diya (like...ever ;^; ) so I'm not too use to talking about her like this ;w;

OH DANG. That's a lotta backstory. A lot of GOOD backstory holy crud yaaaaaaas. I LOVE the beginning of her becoming a guardian of a village and the residents practically worshiping her, which causes her to become a bit spoiled and self-centered. It's really cool seeing some positive demon-human interaction, and her becoming like a guardian deity I can totally see in the Inuyasha world. Then moving on, her finding some Jewel Shards and deciding not to use them... That says so much about her character; even though she may be a brat and a bit rough around the edges, she's got a good heart and a good head on her shoulders ;w;. Agh and then it gets into all the crazy plot stuff and her meeting the Inuyasha gang... Her interactions/relationships with Kagome and Shippo.. YAS. I just in general love this idea of any full-demon who interacts with the Inu gang having a bond with Shippo over being the only full-demons, like... They believe Shippo is the only one who could understand them at first, y'know? SPECIAL DEMON BOND!! And how both Inuyasha and Koga chase her up into a tree, OMG LOL IT'S LIKE A RUNNING GAG AND I APPROVE. Oh oh right and then everything with her special naginataaaa, that crud is LEGIT FAM.
Kamiko has a naginata as well, but she's just a human with a regular human weapon, so... It's not special and cool at all RIP XD. She has one special more-than-it-appears object, but what object it is is a seeeccrreett eue. Not even Kamiko knows that it's special, for the most part *rubs hands together scheming-like*. I really need to update her ref cuz right now said object seemingly doesn't exist fndjsnfdjk.
Anyway back to Diya, also I really like her outfits!! The other ones are outdated, and this is her current look, right??

Even so, I really dig that blue outfit on the ref you sent! Just, you seem to be really great at designing original outfits; that's what I like so much about Diya's looks, that they're really original as well as well-coordinated~ ^-^
I've struggled quite a bit with Kamiko's look ahaaaaa.... But I believe I'm finally satisfied with her current one.

Ahaha YAS SAME!! I may have met a ton more active Inuyasha fans on tumblr, but so far I haven't met anyone else who has Inuyasha OC's (Aside from InuKag fan-babies) |D... It is so nice to talk about OC's with someone again, it's been so long for me x0x!

Thank you so much for the feedback, I really do appretiate it when someone takes time to let me know what parts interest them the most when it comes to a characters backstory uwu It's like all of my creative efforts aren't in vein! ;u; I think the part about Diya not using the shards on herself is still a big part of her character as well, "I don't need some stupid shards or a jewel to make me stronger. That's basically cheating! If I can defeat you with my own true strength, then THAT'S something to be proud of."

Wow...I have even more reason to love her now ;u;

And yes! That is her most recent and updated look. I recently started sketching up a fake screenshot of Diya in the RPG InuYasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask (I also named my character Diya in that game cause Im such a weeb << >>) and her outfit differs slightly from this one, so it just seems like the more often I draw here the more often I have the opportunity to change and update the costume to make it look more and more like a costume you'd see from the series ^^ At first I was going for the whole 'Armor and fur kilt' sorta thing but I though 'Nono...I need something better...'

Yeah, it can be a bit challenging to find the right mix of what you want, what the show has, and maybe a pinch of what they could have looked like in real life. Me being a nerd for Japanese history and culture, I always catch myself going to look at ancient/feudal era clothing to be like "Hm, I could use that, oooh, or that as well!'

Yeah! And I definitely can't find too many people that are still avid fans of Inuyasha. I've found like 2 or 3, but that's about it xux;

OOO! Did I tell you about my kitsune that's set in the Inuyasha universe? ;u;!! Im just getting so pumped to share stuff about OCs =u=;

Since Kamiko was always determined to be a demon-slayer, I haven't rlly been able to be super original with her look... I first started out just copying Sango's outfit with different colors for her, as you may know |D. I tried making it a tad more original by giving her a utility belt type thing XD, but... Eventually when drawing her for the first time in a while I decided to just completely rethink her outfit from scratch. It's still similar to slayers because of the black bodysuit and armor pads, but it's no longer directly copied -3-. I had found a couple of girl characters from the anime that had been from a clan of ninja's, with ensembles of simply black body suits under kimonos, so decided to draw more inspiration from them for Kamiko's new look. It might still look similar and basic.. But every aspect of Kamiko's look now is for a use she would've thought of on her own ^-^.

Gah I think that's a big part  of my problems, aha... It seems like a lot of my fellow Inuyasha fans who, even if don't have OC's but write fanfics, are into learning up about history and Japanese culture... I myself am interested in Japanese culture, but really I'm just lazy and not so into learning history... RIP me for creating OC's in a historical-period setting in another country, aha.

.......I just realized that, although I have a second Inuyasha OC to be a friend for Kamiko, I don't have any demon OC's what the heck. I need to git gud.

You've still put a lot of work into her design though! I think that's very important to have so much thought put into a costume, instead of just stealing one off of the internet, yknow? It's unique and special to THAT character. Sort of like how Diya has gone through probably 15 or 20 design changes in the past few years. So much development is, in my personal opinion, really important if it's a character that means a lot to you~

Thank you! ;u; Well, when it comes to making the pose more natural, think about the line of action. It's an invisible line through the characters torso that their body follows. You know how exaggerated older cartoon characters are like Mickey Mouse and Tom and Jerry? They have a LOT OF line of action to keep them from looking too stiff and to keep them from looking mirrored. Another thing is contraposto (I dunno if I spelled that right xux)

Ah, yis. I've taken a few art classes over the years so I am aware of basics at least, such as the line of action; tho yeah honestly I forget to use it 85% of the time |D. I have a weird drawing process... Sometimes I sketch the whole pose figure as basic shapes first how you're supposed to, but usually I just, start with the head, draw the neck and shoulders, draw the shape of the chest and just keep going drawing it all fully (not just basic shapes but actually filled out body shape) from top to bottom o-o. So that's probably why they turn out stiff fndjnfjds

Yeah, I'm guilty of doing that too, but most of the time I try to make sure their pose flows correctly (Unless I'm trying to go for that mirrored look if they have their hands on their hips from straight on or something).
