Turtloids from Sonic 2
The Sky Chase Zone is one of my favorite stages in Sonic 2 (next to the Casino Zone). I also thought there was something humorous yet cool about the enemies on that board particularly the flying turtle enemy, Turtloids. I'd like to see a return of this robot design in the new 2D Sonic game.

The badniks from the Sonic games did have a similar look the enemies from Megaman! Back then, both series' robots had to this kinda cutsy cartoony look to them.

I would love it if the new Sonic 4 game had a new "Sky Chase"-like zone, with Sonic on the "Tornado" airplane. (But it's doubtful, sense supposively Tails isn't in the game.)

Yeah that would be nice if they included a sky zone in the upcoming game. But hey Sega just might surprise us. Who knows what they have up there sleeves! ^_^

I always thought the Sky Chase zone was the easiest board in Sonic 2. Maybe your thinking about the board that comes after it the Wing Fortress, Robotnik's air ship. Now that one I died a plenty of times on!

Sorry for the super late reply! Looking forward to this when it comes out! Shame it got pushed to December, instead of summer now. At least that Sonic Encyclopedia, in September, will keep us busy until the actual game comes out, haha.

Yeah since then, I see another 3D Sonic game called "SONIC COLORS" is coming out this fall or winter. I don't know too much about though, but it looks like it'll be on a CD and not downloadable.

Yep, it will be a CD based game! Unlike Sonic 4, haha. From what I read, it seems to be only coming out for Wii and the DS.
