I commissioned Alexi-C to provide color for the original lineart from yacermino , the Master of Villainesses! An extraordinary job from both artists!

Here is my story from the original:

It was a slow afternoon at the police precinct. The officers on duty were filling out forms or listening to the VTT afternoon news report. One of them, the sergeant, had his feet on his desk and was eating a ham sandwich as he watched the TV reports. He said to no one in particular, "Boy, somebody ought to do something about that Purple Vixen. They say she even has ballistic missiles and is trying to blackmail entire countries. I mean what can you do about someone like that?" The other officers grunted their approval, used as they were to his random comments while watching television.

"Is this the 13th Precinct?" called out a man in a UPS uniform. "I got a delivery for the 13th Precinct." "Yup, that would be us," the sergeant replied. The UPS man ran back to his truck and few moments later returned with a dolly carrying a large wooden crate. "What in the world is that?" the sergeant asked. "No idea. But it's heavy." The UPS man muscled the crate off the dolly and then lowered it onto the ground on its long side. As the crate hit the floor, it almost sounded like a grunt came from inside. The other officers came round to look at the unusual delivery. The sergeant signed for the delivery and the UPS man headed out the door, "Have a nice day!" he shouted.

The sergeant looked at the crate, took off his cap and scratched his head. "Did anybody order something?" The rest of them just shook their heads. As they stood around trying to figure what to do, there was a sudden thudding sound from inside. THUD THUD THUD The officers jumped back, startled. The sergeant put his hand on his holster. "Quick, somebody get a crow bar," the sergeant ordered. "There's somebody inside there!"

An officer came quickly with a crow bar and laboriously pried open the lid of the crate. As he did, the thudding sound continued. Finally, they were able to remove the lid. They all gasped. Inside was Purple Vixen, arms and legs bound, her mouth taped shut. She was kicking the sides of the crate with her boots, her face beat red with rage, her shouts and yells muffled by the tape into incomprehensible grunts. MMMPPPHHH MMMMPPPHHH "Well I'll be damned!" the sergeant said. "That's that Purple Vixen ... from the TV," another officer excitedly observed. "Oh wait, here's a note," said a female officer. She opened the envelope and pulled out the note. "Well, what does it say?" the sergeant asked impatiently. "It says 'Delivered to justice, compliments of the Avenger.' That's all it says."

"I don't know who this Avenger is," observed the sergeant, "but I guess we owe him ... or her ... a debt of gratitude!" "Now get her out of this crate and into a cell, where she belongs," he continued. "Should we take off the tape on her mouth?" one of the officers asked. The sergeant looked Purple Vixen over. "Nah. She doesn't look like she's ready to have a conversation and I don't like to hear cussing around the precinct." This only elicited an even louder MPPPPPHH from Vixen as the officers helped lift her out of the crate.
