While the world's attention has been fixed on Brazil for World Cup action, another kind of tournament has been ongoing in Dubai's world-class Trade Centre Arena - the Fédération Internationale de Boxe Feminine (FIBF) biannual championships. While most of the participating teams represent various nations, Purple Vixen submitted an application for her LILAC Club, using a loophole in the qualifications that permitted NGO's to participate.

In first round action, one of the LILACs, Moira (0-5), faced off against Argentinian Carolina Duer, (19-3-1 and 5 KOs). Carolina was in no hurry, casually picking through Moira's sloppy defense, striking the redhead repeatedly in the jaw and face. But it was quickly too much for the LILAC, Carolina cruising to a KO win 1:53 into the first round.

Purple Vixen had made a number of (illegal) wagers on the fight and fumed in her ringside seat as Moira was taken out of the ring with assistance. But she knew her next fighter would make up for Moira's embarrassing loss!

This is one of a series of boxing art I had planned with , but sadly he deactivated his account before he could do more than the two I'm posting. I just love these, and only wish he could have done more. He kept the boxing outfits I designed and which were first beautifully rendered by here:
