Well, in my headcanon, she tried to beat a heroin and got in the hunting terrain of a certain one with no fucks to give about her current situation. Let's say that, in my head, cure had to be worse than brainwashing.

Yeah, basically, she attacks a heroine in the terrain of another villain and this villain breaks her again to return her to normal.
The other one would be an accidental bonk to the head that restores her, pretty much old movie cliche, or any other kind of mental shock.
