Like many people I'm a fan of more than just one genre. Of course I obviously adore superheroes but I also enjoy fantasy and SF. (Big surprise)

Recently the DAZ Studio store had a couple of simultaneous sales I was able to take advantage of. I picked up several fantasy-themed items that normally run for anywhere from $30-140 for about $3-10 each. It was like being in a candy store where all the best items were on sale at ridiculously low prices. So now I'm itching to use this stuff. But I was a little torn as I've dedicated a lot of my efforts up 'til now creating superheroines. Then I thought, why not combine the two?

So this image of Duster in fantasy gear is a preview of a much bigger, more ambitious project I have planned. Basically I'm going to take my four Night Watch heroines (Duster , Night Angel , Midnight Avenger , Whirlwind ) and have them transported (against their will, natch) into a fantasy setting. They'll need to fulfill a quest to get back to their world. (Of course! The fantasy genre is all about quests, amirite?) There will be several adventures and perilous situations along the way. Villainous characters and creatures with less-than-gentlemanly (or less-than-ladylike) intentions will crop up. Skimpy fantasy costumes will periodically be lost/stripped away and (perhaps) regained. And as this fantasy world is a strange, twisted version of ours, several other DA OCs will turn up--a few as themselves, most in parallel-universe guises. It should be fun even if it taxes both my story-telling and artistic abilities. It's probably gonna take a while. But that's how you learn, right? Right? Someone please reassure me that this is how you learn...
