The supposedly-reliable tip White Owl followed had led her to a run-down, largely abandoned sector of Queen City. That didn't surprise her. What did surprise her was the sudden bright spotlight that dazzled her eyes and the dark-clad pack of ninjas that sprang suddenly from the darkness and rushed toward her. In the split second before the fight began, the venerable superheroine wondered what criminal mastermind had planned this ambush... and to what end?

White Owl is, of course, the OC of and is used not only with permission but with the generous donation of the heroine's mask and belt or I could never have created this image so quickly. Thanks, WO. I had fun in DAZ Studio adding my own subtle touches to Athena's costume. As I said about Cracoviia , a girl's entitled to have more than one outfit in her super-closet.

I've followed and admired many of the OC heroines here on DA for a long time, so I'm really enjoying creating images with them now that I'm messing about with digital art myself. I remember the thrill I felt (and still feel) whenever someone creates and posts artwork of Duster or another of my characters, so it's fun to give something back.

UPDATE: Thanks to White Owl's suggestion regarding the old drum, this is now the first in a series.
