I haven't worn them in... four or five years, so I figured they were the best victims for this project XD

Those boots are looking awesome so far. I'm curious, where do you get your craft foam and what type of paint do you use? And in your professional cosplay opinion, what would be a good base for shoulder pieces like in World of Warcraft?

Wal-Mart craft foam with Folk-Art paint.
Gonna need to be more specific about those shoulder pieces, though. How big are they? How detailed?

Well, these aren't the ones I'll be doing (haven't quite decided which ones I want to tackle), but it will give you a general idea as to the size...

Holy huge batman.
Paperclay. Make your pauldrons, sand down smooth, patch up knicks/holes with drywall filler/plaster, sand down smooth, paint, seal.

Yeah, World of Warcraft tends to over-exaggerate on sizes lol their daggers are pretty much swords. And get this, those two examples I sent you are supposedly made out of leather and cloth respectively lol
Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a go. Chances are I'll fail the first few times, but at least now I know where to start.

It's certainly possible for it to be leather. Look at this guy's portfolio:

But that's beyond most people's skill levels.
