This spectacular waterfall was one location top on the list to visit when in Iceland.Goðafoss waterfall and its surroundings were so very interesting. As someone who is originally from southern Ontario, home of Niagara Falls and Hamilton the waterfall capital of Canada its hard to get excited about waterfalls anymore. It takes a real special one to get my inspiration going.
This one was special.
The landscape when approaching the waterfall looked like a snow desert, no cliff or mountain in sight for water to fall off of. But tucked in over a small hill this gem was hiding.
It was extremely icy around the banks because of the water spray so I was forced to be a bit cautious with my exploring.
