This is so adorable it's making me sad. I need a relationship like that, but I have a mildly conservative family and I'm scared my friends might not be liberal enough. And I'm not outgoing enough... You two look like the cutest couple in the country.

And well believe me, it's hard at the begining, but coming out of the closet; in my personal experience, it's a way you realize who truly are your friends and who are not. And when it comes to family, doesn't matter, just remember they love you as much as you do and you can tell them whenever you feel like it.

Thanks for the advice. Being gay is so difficult! I can't believe anyone could be dumb enough to think I volunteered for this crap. But I need to have a positive outlook... I can go out and get a relationship that looks like your sketch if I want one. (but where can an american high school senior in a blue state find one of those???)

In America we have blue states and red states. Blue states are regions of the country that are liberal. They tend to be pro-gay and not very religious, and you can even get gay marriage in some of them. Red states are conservative, very anti-gay and super religious, they are not the best places to live if you're gay or atheist.
Yeah I hear that college is a good place to start. I'm looking forward to that. I can finally be myself soon!!
