Common Blue MorphoI love butterflies! They have been iconic messengers for me going back to childhood.
I have the great fortune to have a really nice Butterfly House up the street from me. This is a Common Blue Morpho, also known as Morpho peleides. It's from Central & South America.

Absolutely wonderful colors. What an amazing insect. This has to be one of my favorite species of butterfly, next to the Green Birdwing. And amazing shot by the way.

Thank you, and thank you for adding Blue Morpho to your favorites list. Try not to feel bad about being busy with school. All of us in school are going through that. I do not have time to sit down and eat a real meal, and i only carry thirteen hours. I try to limit my submissions to one a week, and catch comments as i can. Even now i just happen to be up here in the office while trying to put my work together for a portfolio show tomorrow. Every minute you invest in school you are investing in yourself! Yeah...old farts say things like that...but we say it 'cause it's true! Thanks again for the fav.
