Hi Daniel. Having a look inside a CV-22 was what nearly made me go to Duxford over the weekend. I decided not too and I think I made the right call after reading about it on the forums. CV-22 12-0063 is one of the new airframes, yet to photograph that one.

That's one of the reasons I stay off forums, they're as bad as tabloids for blowing issues out of proportion and very rarely are they right, particularly UKAR. I'd wager that most complaining about the show had already made up their minds to whether they were going to enjoy the show long before it actually happened, because of course it's Duxford, everybody's favourite punching bag. I'd pay very little attention to the whining on forums. What were people expecting exactly anyway? It's not as if the new rules were not known about before the show. If anybody went to the show expecting aircraft not to be further back, then quite frankly it's their own fault for being disappointed.
Are the new rules annoying? yes they are! But as bad as is being made out? definitely not! In all honesty, despite one or two items being too distant, most of the display was fine. Of course not as we once enjoyed but certainly nowhere near the "specks on the horizon" people are claiming. At the end of the day this is the hand that's been dealt. Whinging on forums certainly isn't going to change anything. I personally enjoyed the weekend very much and I hope I am able to enjoy many more at Duxford. If that means adapting as a photographer, then so be it.

I first read 'cosplay' and was kind of confused. Very strange aircraft though. All the fatal failures of on board equipment one can imagine....
