I used to have a model Warhawk at one time.  A very nice looking plane.

The design of the intake on this is a work of art.  Same for the Red Bull P-38 intakes.

I couldn't agree more, TFC's early Curtiss pair are as stunning as they come, and the P-40C in particular is a masterpiece.

As for the Lightning, I know the Red Bull fleet get more than their fair share of criticism for the branding, but that Lightning is drop dead gorgeous in the flesh, and like you say that streamlined intake is just perfect. I think people forget sometimes that you can appreciate a so called warbird as a machine in their own right. It isn't always about the combat history. There are a number of Lightnings flying in military colours that serve as ambassadors for that side of their history. The Red Bull Lightning was not a combat survivor and the majority of her flying history was with the National Air Races at Reno and Cleveland, and though the Lightning I think never wore sponsorship during that time, I think we all know that branding is not exactly uncommon on racing warbirds.

I wish more people would look past the logo and appreciate just how stunning she is with that perfect polished skin.

I can easily look past the logo.  I'd rather see it flying with that big logo than see it rotting away as a static display.  The fact that is does not have any guns in the nose makes it even more beautiful.  You can almost forget it was designed as a war machine.

I have yet to see a P-38 fly in person.  The only ones I've seen were at Oshkosh back in '08.  Glacier Girl, Marge, and Ruff Stuff.  None of them flew while I was there
