After several months of starting development on Pikachu (in which I ended up rebooting it a few times), the 3D model of Pikachu is finally a reality .

It was supposed to be another one of the 3D models that would be published around the time of my older brother's birthday, but I was busy with school and other daily life problems that prevented me from finishing it on time . But hey, it's here .

Just like Piplup, Pikachu's textures were made from scratch in GIMP (although it's not because I didn't want to recycle some of Piplup's textures), but unlike the Penguin Pokemon, this Electric Mouse isn't segmented into parts, but it is a full 3D figure, so here I made one of my first attempts at more advanced Rigging as I had been doing regularly . It's not perfect, but it was enough for what I wanted to do .

This tutorial on YouTube was a great help when designing Pikachu, especially when it comes to Rigging. Here the link:

In one of my renders I used a couple of backgrounds that I found mainly surfing the internet, and one of them is an edited version of the background posted by @ForeignBacon. Here is the link to the background I used for one of my Pikachu renders:

With this Pokemon I also announce a couple of things:

- The first announcement is that, for the rest of the year, this will be the last 3D model I make related to Pokemon . I make this decision because I want to carry out projects that are more in line with my interests . I'm not saying I don't like the franchise, it's just that it's not among the things that catch my attention, like superheroes, Star Wars or, more recently, Megami Tensei.

- The second announcement is that, as you can see, I will now be selling my renders here on DeviantArt . I still don't know how the buying/selling of this type of item works, and I don't even know how to adjust the prices (if I can), but they will be Renders that are sold at a cheap price. If it were up to me, I would continue to offer them for free, but my family's economic situation has become more critical, so each sale of one of my renders will be very helpful and I will be eternally grateful .

- Last but not least, and in connection with the previous announcement, I have opened a Ko-fi account, where you can donate a dollar to me whenever you can . I still don't know exactly how to thank each donation or sale made to me, but something will occur to me .

Oh yeah. This 3D model has been a revelation for me regarding the future of my 3D models. While I was doing my research to make Pikachu, I realized that I want my next projects to have more of a cartoon or anime aesthetic . I hope that this new direction that my next projects will take is to your liking .
