Hello everybody! I have returned, & I am ready to take part in my yearly Drawgust challenge! This time though, I decided to actually do the entire month of August as opposed to the last two previous years, & I will be sharing a drawing every day of this month. To begin, here is my first drawing, which celebrates something I love & features some fun cameos!

Starting off the Drawgust challenge of 2023, I drew what is essentially my way of paying tribute to one of my favorite things to eat. I've made it clear before in past art pieces that I really love pizza, & truth be told I am open to the different styles of pizza. However, at the end of the day I have to say that New York pizzeria style pizza will always be my favorite kind of pizza. I love myself a couple of big slices fresh from a pizzeria, & New York City is quite generous with its many pizzerias. In this drawing, you can see me outside of a pizzeria I enjoy in New York City called Radio City Pizza (for anyone curious to try it, it's located near Times Square). You can also see me feeling very generous, as I share a big slice of New York style pizza with a couple of friendly animals that I think you'll recognize. The first is a chubby orange cat with stripes, & the other is a turtle wearing a blue mask & carrying a katana sword around its waist on a belt. Give up? It's Garfield & Leonardo, the leader of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles! I included them both because I know both characters LOVE pizza, & plus I thought it'd be fun seeing me share some pizza with some nice animal characters.
